For years, Mark Shapiro has been one of southern California's premier guitarist's. He currently performs
with The San Diego Symphony Orchestra, Legendary Jazz group Fattburger, and on his own.
He has performed and recorded with Jazz great Billy Eckstine, Jeff Lorber, Chris Botti and Michael Feinstein.
As a session guitarist, Mark has played Broadway shows such as Lion King, Chicago, Avenue Q. Memphis, and
Legally Blonde. He has played and written for KPBS, Nissan, American Airlines, Sony, NCR and AT&T.
Mark has recently served on The Board Of Directors for The San Diego Musician's Union.
Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Mark is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati. He has lived in
Los Angeles and New York City and now resides in Northern San Diego where he is actively
performing, teaching and recording music. Mark is currently available for solo, duo, trio, quartet, and
quintet engagements. Repertoire includes Classic and Flamenco styles, Jazz Standards, Pop Classics,
Bossa Nova, Acoustic Rock and Blues.
As the owner of Seaview Sound, Mark can Record, Produce and arrange music of any style.
